Lego Robo­tics in the Class­room of the Future

Programming with Lego is one of the projects within the ​„class­room of the future“. Student reporter Olivia visited the group while they were working.

Programming with Lego is an enjoyable thing to do for students in MIS Metro­po­litan school. It is one of the projects within the ​„class­room of the future“.The aim for these students is to program a robot to loop a table. To do this they make program that uses ​„bricks“, said Hannes, age 20, who is super­vi­sing the students. The students are split up in three groups. Each group has around two to three students in it. One of the groups said that it was fun, but chal­len­ging – even though one of the members had done this before in Mexico. While the other groups are slightly bored with what they are doing. A student, Hussam: ​„I like it, because I have inde­pen­dence“, he said with a great amount of enthu­siasm. Right now, the groups are testing out their robots that they programmed.
